BAGHDAD (AP) - An American soldier used a Quran, the Islamic holy book, for target practice in a predominantly Sunni area west of Baghdad, prompting an apology from the U.S. military, a spokesman said Sunday.

Separately, mortar shells slammed into a residential area north of the Iraqi capital, killing at least four people and wounding 30, mostly children playing outside, officials said Sunday.

I have absolutely no problem with what this soldier did. Leftist put a crucifix in urine and call it art why should I care about the Quran?

If I put a Cross up on public land the ACLU will sue me. If I put up a symbol of Islam, (according to Democrats) I am exercising freedom of religion.

I am Roman Catholic and I will be the first to admit that Religion is responsible for more violence than almost anything. We had Popes that would be considered mass murderers by todays standards but Christianity has evolved. Islam will evolve whether by natural means or because of a cataclysmic event.

Bush was right about appeasement. Ahmedinejad has made it clear he means to destroy us and the Israelis and Dems think they can talk him out of it. Terrorists see talk as a sign of weakness. I wish we could talk them (terrorists) out of being lunatics but it isn’t going to happen.
